Mind Bubble is excited to announce its upcoming workshop: “Medieval Battles!” This workshop is intended for students aged 13 to 16 and, as always, is 100% free. The sign-up form can be found beneath the workshop description below.
MEDIEVAL BATTLES!
SATURDAY, 4/22, 3:00-5:00 PM
THE DECATUR LIBRARY (215 Sycamore St.)
Medieval Europe was a place of both wonder and terror. Rich nobles held feasts and festivals in their grand castles while peasants toiled every day just to survive. Knights trained in combat their entire lives, charging into battle wearing suits of armor and wielding a wide variety of weapons. Castles were besieged and taken, power changed hands, and always the stage was set for the next battle over land, glory, or religion.
Join Mind Bubble as we learn more about the Medieval Period in Europe, the military weapons and tactics of the period, and the famous battles that changed the course of history!
Registration preference will be given to students aged 13 to 16. Once you sign up, you’ll receive a notification letting you know whether you’ve been registered or placed on the wait list within about 48 hours.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our programs are always 100% free – but be advised that canceling your student’s registration within a week of the workshop incurs a $5 cancellation fee. Canceling within 24 hours of the workshop incurs a $10 cancellation fee. Not showing up without notifying us of cancellation in advance incurs a $20 cancellation fee. Because we never want money to be a barrier for students who wish to take advantage of our programs, we’ll cover the first $20 of cancellation fees you incur each calendar year. Cancellation fees prevent you from being able to sign up for workshops until they are paid.
VOLUNTEER
If you’re interested in sharing your knowledge and interests with young people – fill out a volunteer application to let us know! We’re always looking for new workshop facilitators with exciting ideas!
