Mind Bubble is excited to announce its upcoming workshop: “Collective Storytelling!” This creative writing workshop is intended for students in grades 5 to 10 and, as always, is 100% free. The sign-up form can be found beneath the workshop description below. The workshop will be held online with Zoom.
PRESENTED BY: ERIC CANOSA
SATURDAY, 3/25, 3:30-5:30 PM
Everyone loves to tell a good story, but coming up with characters, plot, and good narration can be a daunting task! Why not share the challenge with other creative storytellers!?
This workshop introduces students to the unique genre of pen-and-paper roleplaying games. Students will learn what roleplaying games are and how they overlap with the time-honored art of writing fiction. Mind Bubble volunteers will guide students as they create characters and work together to tell a satisfying story. We’ll write up each session as a short story for students to keep. If students are interested, we’ll be delighted to publish the stories on our website!
Registration preference will be given to students in grades 5 to 10. Once you sign up, you’ll receive a notification letting you know whether you’ve been registered or placed on the wait list within about 48 hours.
Our programs are always 100% free – but be advised that canceling your student’s registration within a week of the workshop incurs a $5 cancellation fee. Canceling within 24 hours of the workshop incurs a $10 cancellation fee. Not showing up without notifying us of cancellation in advance incurs a $20 cancellation fee. Because we never want money to be a barrier for students who wish to take advantage of our programs, we’ll cover the first $20 of cancellation fees you incur each calendar year. Cancellation fees prevent you from being able to sign up for workshops until they are paid.
If you’re interested in sharing your knowledge and interests with young people – fill out a volunteer application to let us know! We’re always looking for new workshop facilitators with exciting ideas!
