Tutoring

Mind Bubble tutors are Atlanta locals who are committed to helping young people in their community succeed academically. Tutors are carefully screened to ensure that students are safe, relaxed, and able to learn when they come to our tutoring space. We have a diverse mix of volunteers from college service organizations, like our partners at Volunteer Emory, and other folks from around the metro Atlanta area.

Mind Bubble provides free tutoring in every academic area for students at the secondary level. We run two tutoring sessions per week: one session on Wednesdays from 6:15 – 8:15 PM at Edwin Jarvis in Avondale Estates, and one session on Sundays from 1:30 – 3:30 PM at the Decatur Public Library.

Because space is limited, students are asked to register for our Wednesday session in advance. Registration is handled online on a week-by-week basis. It’s first-come, first-served, but we do have a system in place to give preference to returners and to students who have been on the wait list for several weeks in a row.

Our Sunday tutoring session at the Decatur Public Library is drop-in and no advance registration is required. Just show up at 1:30 PM on Sunday for free tutoring and games! However, if it’s your first time coming to Mind Bubble, please show up early and plan to fill out and sign our new student paperwork. Students will not be allowed to participate in tutoring unless we have collected their signed paperwork.
