Sascha is an Atlanta native from South DeKalb. When she was a high school student at Marist she was involved in student council and fell in love with lacrosse. As a kid she used to follow her aunt everywhere, and because her aunt was a lawyer, this meant she followed her to town halls, political forums, board meetings, etc. These experiences opened her eyes to the impact individuals really do have on their communities. Sascha completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton where she became very involved with an education reform group that led her to join Teach For America, teaching 10th grade ELA. Now that Sascha’s back home in Atlanta, she is completing a post-bacc and preparing for medical school.
