Dan Peterson is a native of Staunton, Virginia where he began his tutoring career by helping high school classmates with their science homework. Since then, Dan has received his BA in physics and philosophy from Swarthmore College and his PhD in philosophy from the University of Michigan. His dissertation was about how to properly understand time reversal and other symmetries in fundamental physical theories, and if you don’t understand what most of those words mean and have a free hour to spare, ask him about it sometime! Since receiving his PhD, Dan has taught at Berry College and Georgia Highlands College while also serving as a private tutor in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Dan lives in Decatur with his wife, Lucy, and spends most of his free time reading, cooking, and, of course, playing board games with friends.
